Ever since last year, I have found an increasing new problem: FEAR.
My anxiety centers around a fear of dying, which I knew. (Working on it.). But in this last year I have been developing a fear of Many things.
Fear of elevators - had that one.
Fear of balconies crumbling under me - thats new.
Fear of walking out on a pier, same reason - it might disintegrate. Thats new.
Fear of heights, even when watching a show on my PHONE - wtf??! (Thats new)
Fear of falling off the earth as it flies through space...see where this is going?
Fear of leaving the apartment! Though I do it anyway....all these are New.
Is it age? Is it a side effect of zyprexa? What is causing all this irrational Fear? I do not know.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I have some agoraphobia as well....sigh.... I feel like I'm in my own way
Some of these all seem to me to be tied into the fear of death??
It's like having a box of tools in front of me that are mine, but I didnt pay enough attention in shop class to remember how to use them.

I'm a member of the anxiety board and they are also very helpful.
I answered this before but I think I must have gotten edited.
Fears, they sure doesn't feel like something to appreciate for trying to protect you in some way do they?
How to stop it? Not sure but having the awareness of what is physically happening helps me out of these fearful episodes.

Lots of good advice here all I can add is don't forget your local public library as a resource books can explain your toolbox....
One of the things I did get from a 12 step program is " False Evidence Appearing Real" sometimes we need to talk back to the fear...
It sounds somewhat like the build up of fears to agoraphobia so another avenue to educate yourself....sorry you are having to contend with so much ((((hugs))))
Feel better soon lovely xx
I would look at all of your meds to make sure that fear or panic isn't a potential side effect...... I had this from Gabapentin..... It's a lesser side effect however once I was on it for a few months I started to feel panic not for a specific reason though
