And I"m dieing to get it off my chest. But I'm too chicken.

I don't want to hear the lectures as I"m just not ready to take the next step right now. Still it's eating away at me.

I have no friends I can share this with in real life so caring around this secret is a burden. I'm almost at a point where I'm thinking about telling my doctor about it but I'm scared he will stop prescribing me certain meds and I feel I need them.

But still I just can't tell him.

Secret's are not always harmful but if they are bothersome to us, they probably are harmful to us or others. Some secrets are enjoyable but we fear unacceptable by others. Discern whether or not the secret harms you or could harm others, your children. If it can, it needs work. If not, than is there real harm in it? Don't be a prisoner to your secrets, if you don't enjoy them, they are not worth having!!! take care of you, xo

Secrets that you feel compelled to tell are generally not good to keep in, but you seem to know that already. I'm a very private person, and even more so in real life so I understand not wanting to share.

It's hard, but I've found that sharing these thoughts with my pdoc isn't the end of the world, and I've told him some things I was sure would make him look at me like a freak at the very least, or get locked up at the worst, and neither has happened. I've shared about homicidal thoughts, suicidal ideations, SI, excessive drinking while on meds, serious road rage incidents (following people, ramming cars, etc.), hypersexuality, etc.

They can't help if they don't know what's going on. I'm sorry you're feeling the weight of this, and hope that it will be lifted soon.

I have to muster all my courage and tell my doctor I know I do. I'm just not sure about it. I may live to regret it. Every time I trust some one it turns out to be a mistake. Still I know I need to do something about this before it possibly blows up in my face.
