Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
i really hate tread mills, but that's an option. I figure I live on a treadmill, why do I have to walk on one? You could join a class at the YMCA or something. Swimming maybe?
1. have to have my ipod and a set of tunes to make it good
2. never on a treadmill or a mall, unless there is good scenery at the mall (but mall walkers are usually 65 and older - and yes, i'm in a silly mood today)
3. hmmm... i'm sure there is a third condition... walking motivates me to run because walking is boring for me
4. walking in nature on trails, in the mountains, at the beach does not require my ipod. any environment like that makes me want to be outside and walking is as good of place as any
5. When i walk, i always feel better if i go out of my way to look up in the sky from time to time, instead of down where i am walking... something about the grandeur of the world that God has given us makes me feel good.
The best part of taking a walk is the satisfaction afterwards, and after a few days of it, i've convinced myself to start run/walking again, and then walking slowly drifts out of the picture.
Don't know if this is at all what you wanted, but it's all i got right now.
OR..get a treadmill.
