have furniture. I have it all now! air conditioner and couches and bed. It should be heaven for me.
but now I feel sad like I don't deserve this. I just feel like I'm being selfish buying all this stuff brand new. But my neighbor said I'd better buy new because of bed bugs. I agree with her bed bugs aren't worth it. they are way more expensive than buying brand new furniture.
still I just feel guilty because I did spend a lot of money and I have really really good stuff now. it's like a brand new apartment. I worry I will lose it some how because I have lost so many nice things in my life. But I also feel guilty because I know there are people out there who still have nothing and now I have every thing.
I keep telling myself I did this for my kids so they have something nice to come home to when they do come home. I don't know I just feel so guilty but I should be feeling happy any one else would. My neighbor keeps telling me I deserve this and I should stop worrying. But I wasn't unhappy with having practically nothing. Maybe worried about paying my bills but I wasn't unhappy that way.
also I wish I could enjoy by bed I finally have a real bed instead of an air mattress but I can't even enjoy that because I've been having horrible nightmares. I usually have to come down stairs and turn all the lights on because I'm so terrified.
why can't I just be happy? I don't have any excuses now. I have new couch, chase lounge, TV, bed, and shelves for all my books and other stuff. What reason do I have to be depressed? And why do I feel so guilty? I feel like I should take a vow of poverty or something.

When we got our new house, we bought all new furniture to go in it. It should have been the happiest day of our lives. But we were homesick for the old place. The new place didn't feel like it was ours. My husband said it was like living in a hotel, because nothing was familiar.
It took a couple of months to feel at home. A little stain on the couch. Dust on the furniture. Your things lying around. It will start be 'your place' before you know it.
