I still have very strong feelings for a guy that has hurt me a few times. My struggle is i texted him Christmas Eve and he responded to me after not talking for two months. We had a nice chat. it was as if no time had passed and that there were no problems. The dilema is there is a potential of getting hurt again or it could actualy work this time. He is still likes me and we are very much attracted to one another. He is in a different state then me because he is in the Army. I told him i would visit him if he wanted and he said yes but there has not been a date set yet and that scares me/ WHat should I do?

How did he hurt you?You say he could hurt you again...and after all,you were the one who texted him and re-established contact.
I feel funny advising you not to visit him,when many years ago I did the same thing,went to where the guy was,and I regret it to this day.But maybe you can learn from my mistake hun.I've become very old-fashioned in my old age (51 lol) and I still believe in the guy making the first move.Sorry but I see red flags all over this one.Just my thoughts.

Thank you. He pushes me away every time he is going to be away for a long period. He threw in my face about me taking meds and he acts cold towards me. He is fine for now but there is a lot of unknowns. I feel deep down he is the one and i know he still has feelings for me. I plan to talk this over with my therapist.

A real man that truly loves you will never never hurt you repeatedly, he will do everything he can not to hurt you, and if by chance he does hurt you, he will do everything he can to make up for it. He will do everything he can to be in your life and never leave. This sounds like you may want him more than he needs you. That's a bad spot to be in. Just be careful- don't set yourself up to get hurt again. Trust your gut.

Thank you. You are right about a real man will never hurt a women he loves. I do have a feeling I am setting myself up to be hurt again. I do want him more then he wants me. It just plain sucks to be honest.
