I don't want to. This is unfair because I haven't done anything wrong. But it's triggered me into a downward crash. I hope it's minor, but I don't know.

I am a band director and I've uncovered what appears to be some mismanaged finances and possible embezzelment from our booster organization. I have also heard directly from individuals that the person in question has been making very damaging (false) statements about me.

I gave the woman an letter from my attorney and she was absolutely livid (understandably.) But I haven't done anything wrong. I'm simply protecting myself and my good reputation. But no matter how much I try to calm myself down and realize that this doesn't affect my job or my program, it doesn't work. What do I do? I need advice and I need help before this gets out of hand.

Take your PRN meds if you have them. Or some antidepressant NOW. Don't let it spiral out of control. Good luck. I'm sorry this has happened to you. XXX

With these allegations of wrongdoing I'd contact the authorities and let your attorney handle it. I know how adversely these things can affect us even if we're not at fault so take care of yourself!

l'm not surprised it has triggered you this is pulling on so many emotional parts of you so at least you know what's coming try to gently ease your way through. l agree with Tommy let your attorney deal with it they won't get stressed and will stop any problems arising

If you think the allegations she has spread are serious enough tell the police too try be covered in every way you can then look after yourself it will be fine, she's only angry because she's been caught of course a thief lies leave her to it you'll be fine.

PRN is some foreign language abbreviation for as needed. I use Ativan. Talk to someone about your situation, anyone you feel comfortable sharing this with. Just remember you are doing the right thing. If you spiral downward, in a way, she has won. Don't let her or the situation control how you feel. Get a punching bag if you can, and take out your frustrations on it. If it makes you feel better, you can pretend it's her. Also, you can write her a letter. Don't worry about how it reads, shred it when you're done. This usually helps me.

Stress of anykind is a major trigger for me. I can understand how this can affect you in many ways. You are in a hard position. Why not hire an independent accountant to come in and find the problem (if there is one) and resolve it without you in the forfront. This was you apprear to also be doing what is best for the organization and your reputation by getting yourself out of the mix. Best of luck.
