I thought I was through with this hyper sexuality I quit drinking I take my meds what the hell is going on with me?! ANY thoughts?

Taking meds is not a sure fire way to curb hypersexuality.

I've found that there's usually a lag in the time that I think manic behavior is over until it really is. Awareness and sticking to the meds is the best cure.

I agree with Tommymott. And As long as you're aware that the feelings are a symptom, I wouldn't be too concerned unless you feel compelled to act on them (in a way you logically don't want too.)
If it becomes more serious address it further. (Why do I sound like a manual sometimes instead of a person?)

I had this same problem when i was manic. It was very scary. i got to the point of acting on it and it was risky behavior; I felt i had not control and that is what scarrd me most. Lithium has really helped with this.

It can be a great time or a burden . Just watch out it does affect you decision making .

But seriously, when I was younger, I wish that I had sought a therapist to talk about sexual feelings and issues, to clarify what I wanted, what my rights were and what my feelings were. That way, I knew what to expect of myself and what boundaries I wanted to set.

Despite taking my meds. I still get the hyper sexuality. I have acted on it in the past, but then i couldn't hurt him anymore so I just suffer.

At my middle age it is welcome , but I also have a willing partner which makes it more of a enjoyable symptom at this time in my life .

When I was younger I had no real control of it and respect for my significant other .
