After 3 years of distance, I have finally decided to move to be closer to my boyfriend (of 5 years) and extended family. BUT my parents are super over protective, and my dad is a control freak. He feels like anything in my or my sister's life is happening to him, and this causes him to freak out on us. I am VERY happy about this move, which I might add I will not be making for at least 6 months, but I'm freaking out about how to tell my dad. Last time I moved my dad forced himself into it. He just started taking the boxes and driving them to the new place before the moving company came.
Any suggestions about how to lay daddy down easy about the move?
