Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi.
I've never been in this type of communication before. Done years of therapy and haven't had too much success. Used to be heavily medicated but now I don't take anything (which is part of my issue for sure). I don't really know where to start other than im on a downward spiral. My husband is about to leave me, I'm inches from quitting my amazing job, quit school, and just bury my head under the blankets.
This past weekend I was sitting in the bathroom trying to talk myself off a ledge. I had the razor in my hand and made a few non serious lines on my wrist. Im a mother of 4, what's wrong with me? Why am I so lost in my head!? Why can't I just get out of my own brain? I have no friends, I alienate from everyone due to my moods of not wanting to respond back or reach out. It's hard work and I don't have the energy I tell myself but now here I am at the lowest I've been in years and I have not a friend in the world to talk to.
Is it just me? Do others with BP have this as well? Or am I more messed up that I led myself to believe?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

What was the reason you stopped taking them?
We're here for you. Hugs..
Nope you aren't alone with those feelings many of us are very familiar (you can't see it but my hand is raised!)
I have quit a good job to work on my plan to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. The job a major source of stress and unhappiness was a good thing to leave. A 72 hour hold in a hospital convinced me my life had a few good points and was worth investing in.... needed a 6 year break to reconfigure but I did and have a life.
Gentle hugs you have found a good place to be open and talk about these feelings...Come and stay awhile.
