I usually wake up after 8 hours then I take my thyroid med and go back to sleep for another 2 or 3 hours. Sometimes I'm just to tired to get up after 8 hours. When I was working I was good to go after 7 hours now it seems like my body needs at least 10 hours.

My meds kick in, and I fall asleep pretty quickly.
But I wake just about every hour on the hour.
I get the most restful and uninterrupted sleep , between 6 AM and 10 AM
Then sleep from 7am till about 11:30am...I am up till 1:30 or so..then sleep again for 4 hours...
I think this strange sleep arrangement is messing with my moods and brain...
lol
There is something about the sleep from 5 on....very deep.
