Dx 2 years in July, the signs were there for 33 years tho. I mostly accept that I will never be truly "normal" but celebrate some of the good things that come from my illness like my great sense of humour and rapier wit.

Been BP for what seems like forever but finally got to see a doc in April last year. Hey, it's my 1 year anniversary... yaaaay!...I think

Like dobie Isee it on the basis of the disease, not when it was recognised.

I seemed to have my first hypomania when I was 19. Before that I'd been sort of depressed. I also had OCD but my bipolar ate that one night.

I got my first bouts when I was 17, so its been 33 years of fun for me. Don't remember when the dx was, didnt matter, I knew it was more than just situational depressions, like they had been trying to treat me for.

I was dx Bipolar 1 with psychosis/psychotic episodes last May 2007.

well I was dx in June 2004 but I haven't been right all of my life. Being depressed most of my life then having severe mood swings then the severe paranoia and panic attacks started years ago. But, like I said only been dx since 2004.

I feel I have always had it... but it took until last July to be dx. i can remember as a kid being in manic modes and then being extremely depressed. i was just really good at coping for a looooooooooooooooong time, but as good anymore... got tired.

well, i was dx'd in '04, but I've been bipolar for much longer.

    I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
