Well I know quite a bit about insurance because I work as a insurance specialist for a doctor's office and all I do all day is deal with medical insurance. It can be very complicated along with all the rest info the other posters listed the biggest bain of my existence are HMO plans.

These are insurance plans which require the patient to sign up with a primary care provider who then acts as a gatekeeper and the patient has to go through them to get a referral to see a specialist and this is not easy believe me. I spend way to much time trying to get one as they will keep telling the patient they sent it but there's a website I check to see if there's one and the majority of the time they are lying because their to lazy to do it.

Insurance in the USA is very complicated and constantly changing

ACA- great that it worked out for many but off the backs of many others... like mine...seems fair. *shrugs*

Paying for my insurance or how ACA has systematically affected those of us with really friggin great insurance??

ACA has forced millions into plans they do not want and have lost their doctors. Who the hell is the Government to tell companies what coverage has to be offered and force a mandate?

With the cost/taxes added that in turn gets passed down to me/my family through increased deductibles and co-pays and shit not covered or participating providers are not interested in participating any more. etc.... So yes, I'm paying for it.

Sorry but that is why they have the Health Departments and oh yes planned Parenthood. To help those in need.

Please don't hate me but dental is included in my HMO. Okay you're not really going to hate me. First part was as terrible joke. But dental really is included. I can see a therapist and pdoc for free. Plus I get diabetic shoes glasses, hearing aids if needed and primary care My primary does obgyn exams too. I ive in S.E. PA.

I have excellent Insurance through the Affordable Care Act, I have for 2 years now. BCBSNC, my premium is only 115.00 a month. I have $5/$10 co-pays, they pay for everything, never question any meds or procedures.

When I signed on 2 years ago, I had tons of pre-existing's, 30+ surgeries, 5 major illness/diseases. I see 5 Dr.'s/Specialists a month, every month and am on 19 meds. per day, pills and injections.

I had been without health insurance for 3 years prior to that trying to pay for thousands of dollars of Hospital and Dr.'s bills each year.
I'm thankful for Affordable Care Act.
