It use to cause me to change my personality i woud bec a totally diff person. My sister said I had a split personailty (she is now a tdoc).

I don't get PMS. Not anything that changes my mood. I just get mild cramping and my breasts swell and feel slightly sore.

Everything little "glittch" that I have seems to multiply by 100!!

I have PMDD...premenstrual disphoric disorder...so i have a heck of a time...sometimes its worse than others...like right now...i'm irritable as crap cause i'm having to move during this...ahhhhh

dont get it anymore thank god! couldnt take anymore mood swings at present lol

From a males perspective, All my partners that had been diagnosed with some sort of mental illness seemed to struggle the most around there cycle. Until they started taking the pill, something about it seems to help bring it down to a normal level. Well normal for a female around that time of there cycle. Whether it just regulates it to give some forewarning when it going to hit or something else dont know.

I have suffered from PMDD also for many many years .it was so bad at about the 10th to 12th day of my cycle right until my cycle starting i was a raving psychotic mess.i was scary to be around people would actually notice the difference.i remember thinking if i had a zipper that i could open and let the normal person out it would be great.i would rage at my kids miss work needless to say fight w husband.w out even realizing it i wasnt started on paxil and i noticed for the 1st time it would just "appear" no psychotic episodes .no dead bodies.turns out although it is an antidepressant it is also a tx for PMDD who would have thunk!! why hadnt a dr ever shared this info. now every 28 days like clockwork.my "friend" makes her appearance w only minor low back pain and sore firm breasts(i like that part!!! they look good but cant touch!!!) sorry guys!!

I'm the same I go completely crazy. I know it's normal to get moody or emotional when on but I just go OTT my anxiety goes up and I seem to hate myself alot more. It seems to unbalance me alot and I can't take the pill because that made me go suicidal the two times in my life I've tried to take it.

Nope, I'll crash the party - never had what most people call "pms", mine never affected my mood much. Just the usual inconvenience. Been Very lucky that way - don't know why that is.

Yeah I was told that I have PMDD.....the doc wanted me to try birth control pills but at my age I didn't think the risks were worth it. Prozac helped me but then I went all manic and the pdoc pulled me off of it.

I am usually very very tearful and anxiety ridden during PMS. It sucks.

My PMDD is actually what makes me "crazy." If I didn't have such PMDD, I probably wouldn't require any meds, but because of the way that it aggrevates what would be cyclothymia, it turns the cyclothymic state into a bipolar state. I HATE my PMDD.

I get rampantly paranoid, irritable and disgustingly borderline. As a reformed and older borderline, I have to wait out my feelings of abandonment and emptiness which can also lead to sucidal ideation and resentments.
