doorknob
I have so much to do but I'm struggling right now.
I did do dishes and I know that's something to be proud of but...
Well I have so much more that needs done and I feel like I've run out of steam and focus. I can focus on very little these days.
I"m also part heart broken because I'm throwing out my old comics. They aren't in a good enough condition to sell. Still I feel bad throwing them out like that. I know time to put childish things away. I just don't have any space to store them and it's just and extra thing to hall when I move.
I hope my daughter doesn't notice LOL. She still thinks she'll read them some day. I understand but they are old some of them are unreadable and they just take up too much space.
But it's just this whole project of moving that has me feeling worn out. I know I have some time yet but it's gotta start some where.
Plus I have laundry to do which is getting urgent. I'm not looking forward to halling that around either. I have to do coin laundry how ever since I'm dead broke I"m taking it to my moms.
How do you stay motivated?

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

I just moved and it sux!!... It's hard to get motivated I find when it's such a big job... It feels good once you've purged a lot of stuff however there are things that I feel an emotional connection to as well and they're harder to give up...
I'd just decide that I was going to go into a specific room and pack a few boxes and not try not to over think what needs to be done..
I think everyday that I packed I ended up doing more then I'd intended as once I got started I was on a roll..
If you need today off I'd take it.. Maybe open a couple of boxes and have them ready to start tomorrow and give yourself a little push to see what happens..
Do you have anyone to help you??..Maybe getting one of your children to help would make a difference
Are there any kids in your area you could give the comics to as opposed to throwing them out?
You'll get through it sweetie and this moving nonsense will become a thing of the past.. That's the point I'm at now and I'm breathing easier
Great big hug for you...xo

Sounds like you're going at a pace, dk, and that is something to be proud of.
You realize that a positive and ethical self interest is important in handling your own needs. This of course is NOT the Ayn Rand type of thing, but knowing your limitations and knowing the resources that you need to manage your illness well.
Childishness remains. It is the part of the hurt that we feel for the rest of our lives. It can create bad dharma and karma if not controlled.
Decisions made with a clear head and to make a clean break and with ethics can assist with clearing up many problems.
The things which are beyond our control are what get me.
Forgiving myself-I have a huge ego and am incredibly selfish so self forgiveness is easy for me, since I am the center of the universe, quite literally--thatis how I feel. That's fairly awful, but yea.
We are all the center of our own universe. It's the blending of these multiverses without crashing violently into one another that we've yet to get a handle on. ~some day~
I have to do some serious and powerful self talk some days just to get my butt out of bed. If I keep telling myself that "I feel like crap, I cant do this, I am too tired", etc. then that is how it goes down. It is when I change my mental direction that I can actually "move my butt". I say things like, "ya know, I feel like crap" but "I am going to choose to get out of bed and do whatever". I can't do anything unless I make the choice to take my foot out from under the bed covers and put it on the floor.
With each encouraging thought comes an action and with each small action comes an accomplishment and with the accomplishment comes motivation. It isnt easy, but we are our own worst enemy when we procrastinate and then get overwhelmed with the aftermath. It is a spiraling monster that isnt good for our well-being.
I have been struggling with depression..........went up to my bedroom by 7pm last night. I got on the computer for a while, read a little, and played a word game on my kindle. I felt like crap and was nasty to everyone that "needed" something or bothered me.
I woke up this morning still feeling crappy, telling myself I did not want to get out of bed, wasnt going to work, I hate always living with this shit...............then, I started a little at a time. I feel crappy but won't feel any better laying here. My work wont get done, I wont accomplish anything, then I will feel guilty............so, I forced myself out of bed to the coffee maker, then the shower, then to work. After working six straight hours non stop, I forgot how shitty I felt.
I think the most vulnerable and difficult time for me is when I am alone. I always feel more motivated when I am around people. That is why it is so important for me to go to work. I gain energy from moving and I lose track of all those negative thoughts that just wont change my life for the better.
You can do this doorknob, I have seen you do it before. One step at a time, one check off the list, one more accomplishment. Then the guilt slowly fades away. xo
