Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Thanks for the hugs.
Have a few back.

I'm hot and cranky and "lurking" on the board
I hope you are enjoying your vacay !
Today I found out I got in with the new GP I was hoping for. My labs say I am no longer prediabetic. I am handling inactivity and lots of alone time pretty well (I have to stay off my foot as much as possible b/c of tendon injury). And best of all, my two walking buddies came and mowed my yard!
I went to the Gulf and soaked and it was wonderful maybe 80 degrees! But walking in the sand to get back to the car was hard and when I got there I got a bad cramp in the inside of my foot, on the top. It was freaky. I could see the muscle writhing like a huge worm. Too bad, that's my favorite beach but there are others where parking is close to the water. 3-5 weeks and I hope I can exercise.
My day brought forth a new goal: how to BE STRONG in the presence of Judgy Haters. And no work tomorrow! wooohoooooo!
Maybe that is their opinion and all but I get tired of seeing such hatred about those who are less fortunate. People like me see that hatred and feel stigmatized against. These people don't realize who they are talking to sometimes. That's why I try and keep my mouth shut politically most of the time..just to avoid this kind of situation.
Bottom line I don't like having bipolar 1 and that it has interrupted my life..but it did and I have to be on disability to make it. I am pretty much okay with that now because it is the only way to stay stable at this time. I wonder how those insensitive people would feel if they came down with a disability or had a financially crippling situation they had to deal with. Maybe then they would be more loving and tolerant.
