I'm not big on gardening for a reason. I have a brown thumb. :(
But I wanted to update on that gardenia I bought a while back. So far it's doing well. It looks green and thriving.
Now on to orchids.
I have two orchids and they are a pain. I don't have sufficient light for them so they wont bloom for me. Any ideas on how I can get them more light? there is shade on all sides of my house.
Any one have a favorite plant? Now is the time to brag about it.
what is your favorite flower/plant?

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Well, good morning to you!Today is National Roller Coaster Day. Are any of you going? It's also National Tell-A-Joke Day! Come up with some and share!I'm not bright with jokes these days, but I'll start:"Today I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon...I'll let you know." :D

Unless you want to buy an artificial light they probably won't make it..
I'm in a basement apt now and can't grow a thing.. I'd love to have a few plants.
I don't know about the artificial light thing. I'd have to look into it. And that's something that wont work during the winter months when any extra electric being used trips the breaker thanks to heaters.
With bipolar, I have been UP and a planting fool - but at the end of the season, I have lots of stuff that lived with low maintenance and little water or watering! LOL I plant a lot of that the next year, and try a bunch of other stuff : )
Hit and miss, but everything that stay, thrives! I do love a garden.....
Give it too who? My mom threw out the last orchid I gave her once it was done blooming.
I like succulents. They are easy to grow and it is near impossible to kill them.
But, I have had a Dracaena palm for 25 years! It is 8' tall with many branches. It is tolerated no water and abus for periods of time. It accidentally got left under the tent, when my house was tented for termites.
It is now enjoying love and care and has new growth.
