Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

do you have a trusted friend/relative you could bus in to house-sit?
busses are pretty inexpensive, so i'd look into that route.
if you feel you need in-patient, then you have to go with your gut and take the measures to make it happen. i'm sorry you feel so awful.
It sounds like you really need a major med tweak before things get out of control. Have you talked to your pdoc about it???
To be honest Its better to act now and get things in place before something worse would happen, where you might be hospitalised and the kids go to their dad or care
If you cannot do inpatient, a partial-hospital program might be good for you. That is what Gina was describing. It's like being in the hospital but you go home every night. My programs usually ran from 9 AM - 3 PM.
I hope you feel better and you find something that works for you sweetie!
