Is it just me or is it very difficult to hold down a job while being bipolar? I have mild paranoia also. I have been diagnoised with the disorder for 5 months now had 4 jobs the longest I stayed was 1 week and a half the shortest was 30 minutes, YES 30 minutes LOL.

I keep changing jobs, but I can usually hold out for a few months...never a year or longer. What kinds of jobs have you tried??

It's TREMENDOUSLY difficult...my longest job in 44 years ahs been 4 years...which I thought was miraculous

You think that's so bad?? i've had 7 jobs in the past 5 months. Don't feel bad though just take it as it comes.

Data Entry/ TO boring
Customer Service/ to many problems
Medical Insurance/felt like other co-workers constintly talked negative about me.
2 temp jobs.
I donno I am going to keep looking till I find somthing that can hold my interest and I don't think everyone is talking about me etc..

I was a server at this restarant here. Maybe you can wait tables part time. Its good money, sometimes and usually short shifts.

I never could keep any job going until I found one that I'm doing something I realy like. I Love driving, and now I drive for a living.

I look at it this way. Having just been diagnosed - I finally have a reason for my jobs not working out. I do tend to last 2 to 3 years though. However, now I do not have a full time one and the thought of it freaks me out. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it again.

I use to be a school secretary for 15 years. knw it like the back of my han. Good inurance, ree parking life was great. But BP made me not able to work for more then 4 hours wwithout coming loose. Work a little part time now.

yeah its difficult and its also hard to find one at times because one can rush to fast into something without thinking through it... then crash later.

It's easy, as long as you don't have to deal with anyone. LOL For me it takes great patience and I have none. People just piss me off in general. sigh.

Same job for 4 yrs. It is extremely difficult to go to work some days and I have used up all of my vacation and sick days for BP reasons-notably depression:(
