Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

As for your school, they should have an office of disability services. As a person with BP, you are covered under the ADA to reasonable accommodations while working or in school. These can be things like extra time for assignments, extra time to take tests, quiet testing areas, someone to read your test to you, Time off for appointments, even someone to take notes for you. Boston University has a web site for reasonable accommodations while in school. http://www.bu.edu/cpr/reasaccom/educa-accom.html They have a whole site devoted to psychiatric rehabilitation. They are the ones that everyone else references. Take a look and contact your school's disabilities office. Don't lose all the accomplishments that you've had so far. Use the resources that are available to you to succeed.
I'm sorry you're feeling so trampled lately. Getting through school is just plain rough -- BP or not. Just do the best you can and, as Cammie said, explore your options through Disability Services.
Your husband's therapist may be reluctant to see you too because of his professional relationship with your husband. Does your school offer counseling services for its students? Those are usually very reasonable.
Hang in there and be proud of what you've accomplished med free. It may be necessary to go on meds in order to complete your program and I'd just look at it as another educational expense. Take care!!
I am sorry that you are under a lot of pressure. Colleges don't design their courses and coursework around the needs of students very well.
Yea-get the meds free and/or try generics-Wal-Mart is not the best store in the world, but they are good about having 4 dollar meds.
Take care,
