Hi. My name is Alyssia. I'm 29 years old. I was diagnosed with biolar disorder when I was 18. I've been through the ropes with medication and now take Vraylar, Haldol, Prozac, and Neurontin. I just started the Prozac today. Lately, I've been feeling very depressed, tired. I've also felt nauseus, had diarhhea, and had severe headaches. I went to the ER last night because I felt so terrible. They didn't do anything except pump IV fluids and gave me something for the nausea. I saw my PCP today and she's testing everything: vitamin levels, thyroid, blood count, etc. I should know results either tomorrow or Monday. I am in therapy and I have a wonderful support network. I'm hoping to make some friends on here who I can support and receive support from. Thank you for listening!

Hi. It can take awhile to find the best meds, that's for sure. I've used haldol when I was in psychotic mania. It is effective for that even if it has many undesirable side-effects. I'd wonder why you were using it if you are in depression, but that's just my thinking. Keep working at it. I wish you relief.

Welcome to the group. :-) Everyone here is pretty supportive and positive to what people post. I have rarely seen a negative response to any post. I feel everyone here is pretty considerate. I am currently on a Prozac and Geodon mixture. It's ok for me. I feel that I am more "perky". I do sleep alot though still.

Welcome to DS I'm sorry you have been having a rough time of it....this is a great place to check in on a regular basis...good community that allows us to speak frankly about what is going on. That's what makes this place a treasure....

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I was hoping to hear from my PCP yesterday, but lab results weren't back yet. Looks like it'll be Monday (at the earliest)! I hate waiting for lab work. I look forward to spending more time on this site. Seems to be very helpful!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
