Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm still trying to figure things out. Newly diagnosed Bipolar 2 but my doc suspects I've had it for a long time and it was just misdiagnosed until now. Pretty overwhelmed. It's been a pretty hellish and kinda terrifying couple of months. It's really hard to explain it in a way my support people and my husband can really understand. Been struggling with my identity and just the impact of my experience. I should be asleep right now but it's one of those "I'm exhausted and wide awake for no reason so there's no chance of sleep" kind of nights.
also, hallucinations and paranoia suck! <-- doc and care team very aware and monitoring but seriously! they really suck! ...... that feels really weird to share. I haven't really told anyone yet so this feels uhhhh.... bittersweet i guess? idk anymore. i feel hypersensitive yet so out of touch
(why is this so much harder than I thought it to be)
i need people who understand in my life. like actually have been through it understand. i feel like it might help me feel less insane?!
anyway... hi

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo
We have a great bunch on here.... Big hug.... xo
For me, I only see dx's as words and deal rather with symptoms and what I need to do to help me in the moment. I watch my 'self talk of negativity' and reframe into an action to reduce stress. Diet is Huge, drinking water is Huge to give your body and brain what it needs to function the best it can.
Try not to go searching too much on internet, if you are able seek out DBT therapy, it's a life style, takes a lot of practice but for me, it's been a life changer. https://peerguideddbtlessons.weebly.com/uploads/8/2/0/9/82096548/intro_to_dbt.pdf
Best To You!!
Welcome and It's a lot getting a diagnosis and all the emotional fallout from it.
You get a round of applause even showing up here and reaching out.
I got diagnosed in my mid-20's but it took years to learn how to cope with this illness and find a life that worked for me.
This is a time to take care....Hope to see you here more often!
It soon settles down and things become clearer.

Some may laugh about that but yeah i can feel what you're going to deal with. all of these years from teenagerhood and so now been a hard time for me. still it is. I so many times tried to tell everybody that i suffer but instead of understanding they laugh and imitate my feelings. you know in this world you or may your second side of you can or can not understand what you're going through but I can assure you that in your bottom of your heart something says that you are different not a strange or bipolar one.
I think you can understand what I'm saying. what I'm really angry about is that ( i think you will be too ) is that no one seems to be care about you even if they really did nothing right. maybe I'm wrong but i definitely feel this over the years ( true or wrong ).
hope you have a great feeling now.
Sincerely Love from Cipherone ( Mohsen ).
