It's been a while since I have been on here for those of you who remember me. What have you all been up to? Me personally , I dropped out of college in pursuit of becoming a tattoo artist. So I sought out an apprenticeship and I am about half way through it now. It is prob. the hardest thing I have ever encountered but I like a good challenge now and then. It is pushing my stress levels pretty bad. Not that I ever made a lot of money but an apprenticeship means you work for free and i keep a part time second job and I think after almost a year it is starting to spread me thin. Lucky enough for me I have a vacation coming up in January and I am hoping that it takes some pressure off of me. I have a lot more tattoos mostly to cover my scars. Although I will always know they are there , at least I can look at something beautiful now. How about you?

I applaud you on following your passion as a vocation. I do have a question though. I have some, rather deep and prominent, scars that I just accepted as branding caused by a life lived close to the edge.
It was always my impression that the scars would show through any tattoo because of the non porous nature of the skin. Have I been wrong all these years?

Yep it has been a long time .
Lots going on in my life...none of it too much fun.
But I have managed to stay stable and do ok .

It's in the summer when they speak loudest because of the contrast of the white against the tan. I have thought of a few design ideas to embellish the stories, not hide them. Skillful tattoos are expensive though.
Good to know I now have an option and I do think I will check out an acquaintance who owns a parlour downtown.
I have a friend that owns a tattoo shop, she has four other artist - a great job with good money! Glad your doing something you WANT!
