Nice track - I listed to both - you've nailed the format for trailers. Nice use of the choir. If you are looking to make some money you might want to look into the production music (aka library music) world. It seems to be the only place to make money from actual music unless you are Hans Zimmer or writing for a K-pop band.

One minor point, you might want to look at your EQ profile - the first track sounded a bit toppy listening on studio monitors. Easily fixed.

Thanks for the kind words, acuriousfish. Yup, my EGing is a mess, as well as the rest of my mixing and mastering skills. I'm relying mostly on presets on my plug-ins. I do have some ebooks as well as some online courses on that, so I should improve.

I've thought about music production, but I'm terrible with dealing with stress and may not be able to handle it. It might take the fun out of it. But its something

"Production music" is something different.

It's basically music that is used as incidental music for TV etc. The point is you create it and then approach the publishing houses when you are complete - although you can get a commission and that will be tied to deadlines(ish).

Once your music is in a publishers catalogue you get a cut of sync and performance fees.

oh and I thought overall the mixing and production was fine. There are EQs that will match the curve of your track to a reference track and apply that correction.
