Hi guys! I just wanted to get some input, let me elaborate on my current situation :
I was taking Neurontin and Zoloft for about 6 months and I suddenly went off both of them when I had my wisdom teeth extracted Oct. 4th. That was the last time I took my medication and with all the antibiotics for my teeth and the pain killers I lost track of what pills I was taking and when. I had like 6 pill bottles in my purse at once and its so hard to keep up with everything, So i just stopped. Its super super irresponsible and stupid and quite dangerous I know. But now I am too ashamed and afraid to face my psych so my question is, should I begin taking them again and try to get back on track? I am getting immense chest pains and my moods are worse and I know that is probably due to the fact that I havent been medicated. But are chest pains something that can be related to the sudden halt of my meds? I dont know what to do....

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
If you are getting chest pains you should see a physical doctor asap.
when you see your psych you might ask him why he hasn't put you on proper bipolar meds? Zoloft is an anti-depressant which generally is a poor idea for people with bipolar without a mood stabilizer.
neurotin is used for other things, but it can help if you are also on proper medication...
Just tell your proc you need his/her help!!
P.S. You look so beautiful and happy in the photos with your boyfriend. That makes me happy for you!
When you take a lot of medication as we mentally ill people do, it can be hard to keep it organized. What I have found helps is a weekly organizer pill box with little compartments for each day of the week. I carry it in my purse so I always have 1 week of each days metered out meds with me. It really helps keep all the pills organized.
They sell things like this at drug store like Walgreens or RiteAid in the prescription aisle. Hope this helps.
Just for the future both of these meds should be stopped VERY slowly
No need to be ashamed...Please don't let yourself get sick... I agree with fish that neither of these are BP meds although they can help with some symptoms... big hug...xo
