Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
hello, I have bipolar disorder I am 20 and I am in the depressed phase. My lithium doesent work, and I am so so depressed, I don't know what to do....I want to kill myself sometimes and it's a miserable feeling. I don't have a therapist or anything. Maybe I should take antidepressants? But it seems like sometimes my moods fluctuate every hour and then I go into a very deep depressive state. Someone help me I don't want to feel this way.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
My answer used to be nearly always "wtf does it matter anyway?" but I've decided to clear that bit of internal horror and live life with absolute abandon.
Do not take my guidelines as any sort of advice. I no longer use fear as any sort of self-controlling mechanism. I've chosen to allow myself to experience life, and participate in others' lives, as if it were always my last chance. I'm going to fly or have one hell of a ride falling. I want to find out who I can be, by following what i think I can be. I doubt that makes much sense, but it's become this bipolar fellow's new outlook. Go forward, into that dark night, know there probably isn't light, but a flint and steel and a bit of dead grass can make your one when you get there. Be anew
I, strictly personal, don't believe there are one-size-fits-all or one-stop fixes for these problems, but we can get by and even find comforts and joys in the sharing, one confusion at a time.
Welcome to DS.
He or,she can go over your medication...another stabilizer may work better..
