Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
the irritability just won't stop. I saw my dr. Yesterday. She told me that in order to oversee my meds, I have to pay my former psych np a visit. She said she can't take over my care without me doing this. So I called her to make an appointment and she left me a voicemail saying "we don't do 'freebies' anymore". She saw me in the past when I couldn't afford to because they didn't accept my insurance. She said maybe we could do a phone visit. I tried to call her back but she doesn't answer. Plus, I had a tiff with my douchebag landlord. I emailed him to let him him know that someone in the house (there ar multiple units in the house) was smoking. I cannot stand that smell. It triggers me because my parents were abusive and chain smokers when I was a kid. I link the two. I also asked if he would please go easy on my rental renewal. His response "when you track down the smell, let me know. And also, I am running a business, not a charity". I responded in a respectful way. He pisses me the hell off. I am feeling very financially vulnerable, and him saying this really triggered me.
Also, every noise is an assault on my ears. It is amplified 1,000x and it is making me even MORE irritable. My neighbor was playing his bass guitar when I got home from work, and it pissed me off. I stomped around and made as much noise as possible. Last night I was so irritable I had a hard time going to sleep.
Also, I have to travel downstate again for work in a few days. I didn't think it was making me anxious, but the closer it gets, the more I think I might be very anxious.
Too many things are happening. I feel very overwhelmed by it all. My irritability is mounting and I don't know how to make it stop.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo
You don't need to see your old med person, just as for a telephone referral to the new psydr.
Landlord answer seems reasonable, at least he acknowledge your issue and told you what you can do.
Guitar player, landlord first, then write a note, put it on their door....If you don't stop electric guitar, I'm calling cops. So they won't hassle you.
Do you know how to do your job? Stay in the Now, projecting will make you upset.
Having a phone appt is a good alternative... My vet does that with me and I appreciate it so much...
Stomping around the apt is going to have others complaining about you ...It's not worth in IMHO ... Ear plugs might help
Big hug TC... xo
Can you do something you find relaxing or that will slow things down to do? Maybe a walk, coloring, a drive (not sure if that would make you more anxious or help you relax). I am trying to think of quiet things. Maybe visualization exercise. There's a free Harmony app for Droids that you could check out.
I really hope you feel better. I have been in your shoes and it sucks.
