Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
So what is this feeling? When you're thinking clearly but still do not care! My employer doesn't want me to return to work until I get a letter from a doctor that says I can handle the stress and return to work. My boss doesn't want to lose me as an employee and I appreciate that but I feel as though once I go back nothing is going to be resolved. Nothing is going to change. What is there to look forward to? I get bogged down at work again deal with the kids at home and fight to maintain some routine and stress and figure out how to pay the bills again and deal with my husband's shit again. Do it all over again and again and again and again and for what? For me to push myself to the point where I crash and burn again. To the point where I call off again? Whether it's two weeks from now or three months from now. Talking to my husband is like talking to wall. A very aggressive wall. I need time away from him to think clearly and come up with a game plan. I'm tired of trying to talk to him just to be tossed around and treated like a stupid bitch. Staying here with him is counter productive. I've tried to leave him so many times. But he's always around. I've paid for hotel rooms and cabs and had to back out because he tells me that he's going to kick the crap out of whoever comes to pick me up. He wants me to leave but when I try to go he fights me on it. I used to think it was all me. I'd brush it off like it was just a fight. It's not just a fight. It's a mental mind fuck and gaslighting. He'll never see it that way and that's fine. I can't save up enough money to get out. I've tried, to the point where I've picked up a second job BC he doesn't work. This whole situation is fucked. I can go back to work. I'll lie to the doctor and tell him that yes I'm fine. I'll lie to my boss and tell her that I'm good to go. But it will only be a matter of time before I break again. That's how I feel. Like I'm living in hell on loop. But he's giving me an ultimatum. Go back to work or get the fuck out. Once you're gone you're not coming back. Can't take the kids with you and now I have a better case against you because you're bipolar and clearly cannot take care of the kids. You can't even hold down a job or take care of yourself. Take your shit with you because what evers left behind I'm throwing away.
If I had to rewrite the ending to my story, it would go like this:
....and she killed and buried his ass eight feet under in the backyard. And lived happily ever after with her boys. The End.
I hate living! But I'll pull myself out of the ninth ring of hell AGAIN and see where we go from here...AGAIN.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

This is really good...you are not in denial.
Question: What Do You Want? How Do You Get What You Want?
You wrote a bit ago about starting new medications, remember they take time to become effective...at least 4-6 weeks...how long have you been out of work?
I guess you need to make a decision what is '''best for you right now'''...both your physical and mental health. I say this because if you are not ok, then you won't be able to do anything in regard to your work or your kids.
"But he's giving me an ultimatum. Go back to work or get the fuck out."
Is he unable to work? Is he physically abusive? Have the police ever been called?
I'd call an attorney, or woman's shelter. There is also 211 infoline for your state, it has social service directory you could call for information.
You can take back control by making a plan. Keeping calm and not allowing him to 'grab you' with his gaslighting, emotional negativity and fear tactics.
A word of advice. If you do decide to leave make sure you take your children with you. Organize it however you can that they come with you otherwise he will have a case against you for abandonment. My ex abusive guy did that to his first wife. He came home to find her packed and taking suitcases to a taxi while the kids waited inside for her to come get them. They were little, the youngest was only 6 months old. He closed the door and locked it and stood in front of it and told her if she wanted to leave she had to leave her kids behind. After 5 years of living with the man she was a mess and thought that she could just bring her parents along with her to come pick them up. He refused to give them to her when she tried that and he legally forced her to have a psychological assessment done where they didn't factor in the emotional and mental and probably physical abuse she had been suffering. Because he was so charming he passed the same test with flying colors. She was only allowed supervised visits at his convenience.
Get some advice from people who really know the ins and outs of custody and your safety. I don't know who that would be in your case. Social worker at a shelter, a woman's abuse helpline, a lawyer... I would reach out to as many resources as possible to make sure you know your options before you make any decisions. But it seems from reading what you wrote you are desperate to change your situation. I just wanted to let you know some of the things you need to consider. I hope this helps.

Your doctor can refer you to a social worker
A social worker is there to help as well not judge... Again they aren't there to hurt you but help..... Gentle hug... There are solutions and hope for you so please don't lost sight of that.... xo
