Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
i think, in my case, it's the ghosts of past psychotic episodes. it's benign, and i love music, so i just live w/ it.
Do you like the song or is it one of those annoying ones? :) Good thing you've got an appointment on Monday, you can check it out then!
I used to hear 'radios', but only as though they were a couple rooms away from where I was.
Since then, I've started hearing a bunch of people breaking into my house, through my back door!!!
The first time, I thought it was really happening, LOLOL!!!!
Now it doesn't even make me blink.
Let's face it. The chems in our brains can affect all of our senses!!
That's so interesting that it's a song you don't recognize!!!!
Is it 'good'!!!?
Good luck!!! I hope your Pdoc assures you that it's nothing to worry about!!!! (Unless it becomes bothersome to you!)
(((((Hugs)))))
I went thru this at 12 for first time and what kept me away from a dx.. didn't want to hear schizophrenia..
I read somewhere on the internet its normal for people to hear stuff.. auditory memory.. I think we just hear more often than others. If you've never heard the song.. maybe you should write it down.. do creative stuff with it..
I hear knocks and bumps sometimes but I just ignore them. Lately I have been hearing my name called so I don't know if someone in the house is really calling me or if it is just in my head. So I just wait and see if someone appears and says didn't you hear me?
Good luck to you!
But ya bring it up to your therapist.

another one i had was during a manic, and i was all paranoid and lying on this air mattress with my head in the corner of the room where the bed was, and i thought that there were evil spirits around me so i squeezed my pillow tight and squeezed my body in to the core of myself and i don't know what i was doing but it would make them leave i thought. so i tried to 'hold onto myself' so that they would disappear so to speak... and i heard what sounded like bat wings fluttering up into the ethers towards my ceiling, and away.
i've thought people were breaking in before too... but i wasn't convinced... pretty much know i'm paranoid on that.
once i heard hissing in the night. scary. i am honestly not convinced that wasn't some kind of odd phenomena that actually happened...
the screams....they're my favorite..haha.

They, those evil pdocs, diagnosed me with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type and now I get a whole new set of mixture meds to pick from.
As long as I am still alive and semi coherent I live OK with my meds.
When I heard voices they sounded surreal like from a radio for me as well.
I would keep an eye on it, you might just be hearing things though. Some times I hear weird echos in my bed room because of my a frame ceiling. And meds definitely effect my hearing sensitivity.
I hear a music play in the back ground quit often too. Phones and door bells .
Hope your Pdoc appt goes well for you on Monday .
