Happens At Night

Most of my worst problems occur at night. I can't even stand darkness. Lights on constantly. Bad memories and deaths of loved ones comes in sharp focus at night.

For me too. For some reason, things look worse at night. Maybe its the darkness or the indication of the end of the day.

True that. To me darkness represents endings. Hard to get away from myself at night.

For me to sleep better, what I try and do is not drink coffee past noon. Also when needed I take colnaizipam. (sp). Also my last doctor said you are not supposed to drink any liquids close to bed time. Also that helps so you don't have to goto the bathroom during the night.

I only take Klonopin when I feel a bad panic attack coming,the kind where I feel like I can't breathe. You're right,never good to drink a lot of liquids before bed. Hard enough to get to sleep without waking constantly.

When I have a panick attack I sweat alot. It's embarrassing .

I’m afraid of the dark since I saw a shadow man next to my bed. I sleep with a projector that puts stars on my ceiling. Plus I sleep with two pit bulls so that eases my nerves.

Dark represents death to me,and not my death. The deaths of friends and loved ones. My death would be more like a relief.

I'm a vampire, I only sleep 4 hours of a 24 hour day, so dark/night does not bother me, it's just a different part of the day. I prefer night time because it's quiet/calmer/people aren't bugging me. I get more done between 10:00p.m. and 3:00a.m. than most "normies" do in a regular day.....

My clock just runs on different timing I guess. *shrug*

Have you lost someone very close to you? Like a family member or best friend?

I ask because I've never had issues with night. I love the dark, to be frank, but since my dad died, I get massive fear attacks about death right before I fall asleep.

It's horrible. I'm sorry you deal with stuff like this.

My entire family is gone,my best friend died in the rubble of his car at 22. The ones that died in front of me hurt the worst.Like my dad,who passed at 47. All my uncles suicided,along with my grandfather.

Big hug Waco..... Do you use nightlights??…. They'll help wave off complete darkness... I'm sorry for people who struggle with this......xo
