Everything is going well so far. I've been there a week today. I'm back at my mom's today to use the computer and to see my boyfriend for a bit, since he lives close.
It was scary at first, all those 9 other people; not knowing what to expect. I have a very nice roommate (even if she does take my pop and eat my food) and the other people there are very kind to me. Probably because I'm the youngest person there. By far. The staff are all very kind and give you your meds when you need them/ have to take them. We even get to go on a free trip to Six Flags this weekend! I'm very excited about that.
Other than a week of having a panic attack every day, having to carry my stuff around so it doesnt get stolen (I bought a very cool backpack) and sharing a room with someone. Life is GREAT! I'm learning how to take the bus and the subway, it isn't so bad. One of the men in the house took a day last week to show me how it worked. In turn, I helped him move some stuff from his ex's house.
It's like a big family there. Everyone has a weekly chore (Mine for the week is one of the bathroom, which, btw, sucks.) but most people slack off and don't do them. I, however, like a clean bathroom and kitchen so I kinda pick up where ever I see fit. The people in the house are messy! Ew!
The night staff person cooks dinner usually, but on Friday I asked if I could cook and I did! It was crazy cooking for that many people but one woman who is very kind to me helped me out in the kitchen. Everyone else just bitched and asked when food was gonna be ready. Haha.
There is an 11pm curfew but after 14 days of being there I can have over nights places. I should be in there a month to a month and a half.
Well, I'll end here. I could go on for ages. But life is better. Much better.
