As many of yall know, my four year old, Dillon, is autistic. Well..........I applied for SSI........Supplemental Security Income...........for him due to his condition and the application WAS APPROVED!! SSI is like the sister or cousin of SSDI. You have to have limited income and/or resources to be eligible for it. I am unsure about how much he is going to be drawing. I will know that tomorrow. But, along with SSI comes Medicaid!! He will be able to get all the therapies he needs to help him get to a higher level of functioning. I am ecstatic. Just wanted to share.
