Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Dad had a thing for crazy biotches with big hooters.
I do that slowly, step by step, everyday.

My father is a drug addict. He is currently on methadone
maintenance and has been for over 10 years, now.
I do blame my mother for my C-PTSD. Her actions are directly responsible for my PTSD.
I don't blame my bipolar on my parents, though.
had some abuse and trauma young.
dad is bp. mom has panic.
i would say i blame the genes, who knows if i would have ended up bp with a perfect upbringing and what is a perfect upbringing anyway?
i blamed my dad more for being a self centered jerk for a while, that affected me, only because i wanted a more thoughtful father, but his disorder has worsened and now hes touch and go. i have had to learn to accept him the way he is.
moms panic has gotten much better over the years, much better :)
since my dx i seem to be much more tolerant of my family and a little more open to who they are. we are talented, funny freggin people.
Dad definitely has anger issues...
Don't hold them accountable for much aside from signing papers that they disagreed with, resulting in the repeat of first grade for me, which was pointless, and on BS reasons...
Father severe PTSD from being POW and alcholic
Do I blame them? No I do believe most of my mental bullshit was genetic and they did the best they could with the information they had given the era with in which I was born and raised.
So I forgave them, and it has worked wonders for me. They still have their issues, but I can support and pray for them. No one is perfect, least of all me.
