I feel like i am having a hard time making long term goals.
I don't know if this is an after effect of what I am dealing
with but it feels like my sense of self is so affected by things
that I have a hard time conceiving of something authentic and then sticking with it. I don't know if anyone else deals with this.
I do have a part time job - I was able to keep on the goal to get that (though it's a simple job)
but lately more and more - I feel like I am just able to follow the path of satisfying a kind of simple desire but where I struggle is with knowing myself and having a sense of plausible goal. I don't know if I am being clear. Foggy in the head today. I really wish, and I guess this is on the Xmas list :) that I could achieve a great goal despite my issues. I wouldn't mind my impairment so much as long as I could still be viable.
ps. I posted this in the Sz section too - not sure if this limit is more one
thing than another. Thanks for reading! peace, Mark

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I think the trick is to set it up so that you can accomplish stuff soon, to feel better about it. Like 5 lbs took about 3 weeks to a month to lose and that was cool for me.
It's more like I have no confidence that my mood will continue to stay stable.
My Mom's health is bad, and I am kinda stuck staying here to see that she is well cared for .
It's a job I do with respect and love for my Mom, but it still has me living in a kind of limbo.
I also feel like I'm in a kind of limbo - but to try and break down the goals into smaller ones may be the trick to success with it all.
Thanks again! :)
I think it also shows how much we can accomplish... When we take the time to stop and think about what we have to be grateful for those little things can sure add up
Are you seeing a therapist now??... This could be something you work on with him/her....xo
That is how I have helped myself in this area..small goals. Many times the small goals will go into bigger goals over time. :)
