I have been getting giggle attacks. I haven't had them in a couple of years. Now I am not complaining because it is sooooo much better than the depression. It is never over something inappropriate like someone being injured or anything like that but if someone farts or trips (no injury) I giggle like a kid and have trouble stopping. i was watching a movie the other night and something set me off so bad it was a good five minutes before I could recover. I had to pause the movie. I am beginning to giggle just remembering it.
I am up to 100 mg of lamictal and think I will be staying put. I was given a diagnosis of BP 2 so I was struggling with being depressed mixed with more depression. I used to have highs and lows and everything but never severe and I think they were hormone triggered though Pdoc doesn't seem to agree.
Anyone else get the giggles?

When I do get the giggles , I can't stop.
And sometimes it goes on for the longest time !
Then hours later, I'll start thinking about what set me off, and I start all over again.
It's a weird feeling, but a relief from the usual blahhhs

it felt SOOOOOO good. i think it had been many years since i laughed like that. i think if i knew it would be years until i laugh like that again i'd go jump off a bridge.
