Getting Better So Far

It's shocking about how much I still don't know about this disorder.  Most of what they have on the internet is the same cookie cutter information.


I wanted help so much sooner but there wasn't much available where I lived.  The help that was there was awful.


My theory is if I did get good help in my teens, I would be in a lot better shape now.


The mental health system still needs improvement but it's a lot better than what it was 40 years ago.

Just suggesting that in your teens you may have not been ready to receive the information and help you were offered. I hope you won’t lament too much. I know that was the case for me. I do agree the mental health community has improved a great deal. I just think for myself that I’m able to see that now because I am more mature in my relationship in part and also in part that the care has gotten better too.
