I'll be getting my kids back on Wednesday...it's been a while since I've had both of my kids all to myself. They've been w/ my mom.
So back to the way things were...hopefully not. I couldn't handle them. But I'm attempting to prep myself. Bought a whole lot of craft type things for my daughter to do, my son though, he's just got to be entertained not stop...and he changes his mind about what he likes without given notice.
Any ideas on different ways to keep a 5 year old (potentially BP) boy busy?

congrats on getting your kids back. as far as keeping a five year old busy, I usually just have them shadow me throughout the day. Have them help me clean, make meals (helping in a kitchen is a good bonding experience too) and generally just keep the topics physical and mental.

Thanks. :)

I have a girl, so I may not be much help. I just bought her a hot wheels race track for her birthday. She always liked to play with one when we visited Neal's gramma's house. Would he like something like that? It was only $10 for one car and the loop track. I think kids are fascinated when the cars go upside down.

He's a very difficult child when it comes to toys...if he's in a mood, he will break it and say he hates it. I'm attempting to work on a reward system that consists of shopping at a dollar store.

Maybe tire your son out with physical activities?
HannaHana
He is definitely a physical being...but weather around here doesn't permit much running around outside, and there's no room in here!

play-doh, finger paints, play cars on the kitchen floor, make a blanket fort in the living room and sit under there and read him a story.

I'm glad you got your kids back. My son liked toy cars, legos, drawing, magnadoodle and stuff that makes noise.

Thanks everyone. :)
