Hey everyone :)
Just wanted to share something I feel is working for me and see if any of you have found success doing the same. I'm talking about getting into a gym routine. Or any exercise routine for that matter. Since I have an addictive personality and I have been known to dabble in drug/alcohol use, my doctor suggested I get into working out and becoming addicted to that instead. Which is fine by me because I've been trying to lose weight and get in shape for a while now. I find that since I have a schedule now, where I get up at 6 am every day and go to the gym for an hour and half, I function better throughout the day. I of course still take my medication (Zoloft and Neurontin) daily, but I feel really really good. I have less mood swings and I find that I am not torturing myself with self hatred as much as I usually would prior to getting into working out. I am also eating healthy. Do any of you find that this is a great treatment method for BP and find yourself managing better? I encourage anyone who feels bad about themselves to begin the journey of a healthier lifestyle. It really works and I love it!

Gym? No. Nor for me. But you're totally right! Exercise is KEY!
I'm leaving the house soon - I'm a bit nervous - but it will be good.
Ironically, I slept well for the first time last night in over a month.
Keep it up it helps a lot!
But I'm a little between a rock and a hard place at the moment.... I got a full time job in February but a train and bus to get there....not a lot of time to hit the gym!
I squeeze in more walks! I've never found an antidepressant that worked for me so exercise was a last resort..... And it really worked!
Spacekat I hope it went well!!!
