I got a job recently at the mall. I pierce ears now, yay cause i love ear piercings! but i have to deal with all the legal information. Today what i thought was a boy's mother was really his 21 year old sister :-( I know im stupid but i actually believed that she was the mother. all of the information was filled out right, but she lied! why do people do that? this could cost me my job that i need. now im so sad/nervouse/scared, that i may resort to harm myself. any comforting words would be a blessing right now :-(

It's not your fault if people misrepresent themselves. Are you supposed to ask for birth certificates and photo id's. What if the parents have a different last name then the kid? Are you supposed to ask for marriage certs. etc.etc... It would be impossible to make sure everyone who came in was really who they say they are. Don't beat yourself up over it. Ask your boss in a hypothetical way, what do you do when... Good Luck

It sounds as though you did the best you possibly could- if you truly believed she was his mother, how could know she lied? You were only working with the information you had. Have you talked to your boss about it yet? Please dont hurt yourself over this- no job is worth it.

I agree with the other posters. You did your job. You did exactly what you were supposed to do. It's not your fault. They are the ones to blame. They filled out the paperwork and asked you to do this. As another poster said, please don't harm yourself over a job. It is surely not worth it.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
