So, I think I'm pretty hypomanic. In the 3 days I've:

~spent about $400 on myself (that I don't have)
~got a tattoo
~pierced my lip
~cut my hair (which I prided on being so long, but I didn't chop it all)
~taken walks every day...to the point of my heel bleeding
~actually cooked meals (I normally make like chicken nuggets and instant type sides)
~met a complete stranger for lunch (from online)

I do have to add though that I got a Green Ribbon tattooed on me...b/c Green ribbons represent mental health awareness.

I feel like "WEEEEEEE" And I recognize that this isn't right....but I just can't stop doing impulsive things!!!

be careful, that can spiral out of control really quickly. Keep us up to date and maybe you should call your pdoc. Usually when I realize that I am hypomanic it is well into an episode.

the weird thing is that I did my budget before I got paid....and all the money was gone. But each time I re-did my budget after spending money on myself, I still had enough to cover my bills. I haven't neglected to pay anything....yet. I had to make my car payment...I guess I'd better hurry up and do that now before I don't and spend a couple more hundred dollars.

wheres the pdoc for a tweak...if you know you're tweaked up a notch buying you know you need a tweaak in your meds

Good points - if you're having not one, but a series of impulse control issues, it does sound like the beginnings of a manic episode. But considering, you're actually doing pretty well. Now would be a good time to call your doc and let them know you're going into an episode so they can help you stabilize now, before it escalades or goes in the other direction. Good for you that you're checking in now and some of the things you're doing like the walks and cooking meals are very healthy so give yourself props for the positive! But please call your doc, too!

Mania (or hypomania) can be a good thing, but it could turn bad if it spirals out of control. I love the fact that you seem to be doing things you enjoy. Getting a tattoo, piercing your lip, cooking meals, yeay for you! But you saying you recognising it isn't right, might be a red flag. I normally ride through my mania, until it gets out of control. So perhaps a call to your pdoc might be the right thing to do. On another note though, I LOVE being manic! It helps me get so much done, though yes like you I spend money I don't have.

Impulsively call your Pdoc and see if there's a pill to pop that will bring you down gently from where you may be heading!!!! That way, you might be able to avoid a crash that may come if you go too much higher from where you are!!!!
If you have to be hypo, I'm glad it's 'happy' hypo!! It sounds like you're having fun!!!! WEEEEEEE, indeed!!!!
