Bipolar Disorder Support Group

So I had my first appointment with my new pdoc, Dr. S,whom I like very much. He's not the problem; his incompetent therapist and rude receptionist are. For the first time in all my years of counseling,I had to tell a tdoc that I was uncomfortable because she seemed distracted. Instead of apologizing, she started to tell me about some problems she was having with her family. That was yesterday, and I'm still flabbergasted. I understand that nothing in this life is perfect and problems can arise even when you think you have a good thing going. Now I'm really torn, because I still like Dr. S,but my feeling is that tdocs most often charge considerable sums of money to treat us,and I thought this one should've checked her emotions at the door. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I wrong to feel this way?
I should clarify that I have had tdocs whom I thought were great, and who taught me many helpful things. I almost feel guilty for harboring negative thoughts about this. How can I keep Dr. S and lose the indiscreet counselor? (P.S. If Amy and I had clicked like I thought we had,I wouldn't even mind the nasty receptionist, but I wonder why she chose dealing with psychiatric patients when she obviously has issues herself.)

P.P.S. It really bothers me that after so many years in therapy, I'm still so insecure. I was a mess yesterday. I tried to sleep it off, but the appointments were the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
