Only violence I've ever seen was on the last time I was admitted, one of the patients kept trying to escape and was taken into the seclusion room, she went on to hit one of the nurses in a rage trying to get out

Yea, on one of my stays in the "lovely loony hotel"... there was a woman who would walk the halls day and night just cussing out everyone and trying to fight anyone in her way... that didn't last long... they drugged her out and put her in the "white" room...

I was glad... see I'm 6ft tall and not a little thing.... and I was afraid if she started with me I would open a can of "whoop a**" on her... then I would have went to the "white" room...

When I worked at the nursing home. We had an ole schizophrenic guy. He was a fuckin nut!! He would sit there and talk to himself or ask you things like do you have a jeep or have you got your grave dug yet. I always used to tell him yes I have a jeep and no I don't have my grave dug yet. Looking back, he was probably in WWII and maybe rode in an army jeep and saw dead bodies. Who knows. We have had to temporarily restrain his in a dining room chair with slats in the back so that I could give him a shot of Haldol when he was agitated so bad. He beat the shit outta two of the ole ladies. One died a few weeks later and I still say she bled out internally like in her tissues. She was bruised to sad. I was not afraid of him, but I was leary of him. I was one of the few who could do anything with him.

Yes! My boyfriend (now husband) had delivered my glasses and contact case to the hospital. I was wearing my contacts at the time. We were two to a room, and the staff had put my glasses case on the vanity. My "roommate" saw them before I did and WORE THEM TO GROUP. I didn't realize they were my glasses she was wearing until I got back to the room and saw my glasses case on her bed. I'm really, REALLY not one for confrontation, but they were MY brand new Vera Wang funky square, black framed glasses dammit. She then started arguing that they were HERS. After it got sorted out with the assistance of staff, she would sit and stare at me with a look that said "I'm going to kill you".... all day long.... she did this until I was discharged. Scary.....

Wow Philosophy... I could go an a big rant about that, but I'm holding back today because I'm manic and don't need to open my mouth about touchy issues...

As for fights... yes... I had a seizure and was fighting the nurse (a guy I really did actually like) because I thought he was trying to stop me from getting away... away from what I don't know... I ran smack into the wall and he was trying to stop me. I kept yelling NO NO NO! They had to force me to lie down. It was fight or flight reaction from the seizure. I don't remember much of it, but I do remember running...

I also witnessed a woman trying to get out and cursing the nurses and fighting physically and they thorazined her ass and put her in seclusion so in retaliation she shit in the smoking room and smeared it everywhere when she got out of seclusion. The released her the next day!!! I guess she was too much trouble to bother with her.
