Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I don't know your specific situation, since you notice this with loved ones, are you actually more afraid of the words they are saying, or associating negative experiences with that Person from the past? Such as, we begin to hear the Person, or our perception of the person, instead of what they are saying....
We all have skewed perceptions of Ourselves too, and sometimes when we are listening to the words of Others, we are hearing Ourselves talk to us instead. Sounds like this is you...
Yep, like beggarseam said, a med tweak may help. And affirmations to yourself of your own worth, even though you may not Feel the effect when you are practicing them, will come back to you later if you make a daily habit of it. They can help you hear others with more Clarity.
*hugs* :)
