Do any of you feel flat from your meds? I want to laugh or cry or something, but I have no emotions. Anyway I think it's the meds.

Yes, meds have made me "flat" in the past. Work with your doc to get a balanced regimen.

Lithium made me very flat. I had no emotions and was in a constant fog on it.

flat sucks, but zombie flat is the worst. shuffling through the days with a mask on your face and hands and feet being drug along.

Yeah I had the same reaction from my meds but that was more when I first started taking them. It's settled now and I can still feel happy. Think it does pass if it is your meds.

I once lived in a flat, a 'bachelor pad'.. overlooking a bakery. My depression just got worse & worse....
I asked my psych about this.
He said that it was because ' Man cannot live by bread alone '

I feel flat all the time. My family is always commenting on it and I just don't know what to tell them. I think it is better than what I was feeling so I just stay on my meds.

yeah i no that flat feeling and i ask myself is this just the feeling of feeling normal if so i dont like normal need an up lift a spark not to much that my mind is racing guess i just need to find the right path but im gonna need a small uplift to start walking it once i have found it. oh lord speak to me give me direction

Meds fault. -or success.

I saw colors less vivid. Life seems shallow and point less.

I did not feel depressed, but 'disappointed' of everything.

I talked to the doc, lesser the lamictal dose and felt better. Of course I'm on the roller coaster again, but is a small one and I'm having fun without hurting anyone. Hope it last.

Thanks everyone for commenting. I think I will talk to the pdoc and see if we can't do something. Otherwise , I guess I will just have to live with it. We'll see.

I feel foggy. Does that make sense? I just feel like I'm a step behind. I don't know if it's the meds or if I'm symptomatic because they are changing my meds.

I came off meds because of the awful flat feeling. I was OK for a year and four months. Back on meds again, ones that I can feel good about and have a child.

when i was taking more lithium i felt that way-pdoc decreased mt li and added depakote and lamictal-i feel better

I'm a Depakote Zombie..but it's better than running down the street screaming that "things" were after me.

Yes,meds do this to us,bummer we can't have a little hypo once in a while,and still avoid suicidal ideas.

Cognitively I am not quite up to snuff. I just live with it. I don't want to have to switch meds and face possible new side affects. I really should be brave...
