I have had a long distance boyfriend for about a 1½yrs. We love each other and wants me to visit him next month. I live in America. He wanted to come here but because of terrorism and such, they wouldn't give him a vacation type visa.
My fear is friends and family will judge me negatively on many aspects if I do. True I don't get much money but I did manage to save some.
I've heard people say some mean things about the disabled. One was they are faking it to get money. Believe me I am not faking bp.
Growing up, up my parents were very critical of what my brother and I did and they would scold us things a lot.

I have a friend who was in similar situation, not quite as long, about 7 months...did all the things like e-mailing, texting, calling on cell phone etc...sending pics...said he was an electrical contractor, owning his own company blah blah...had a Huge Build in Africa....well after about a month something 'happeed to his bank...accounts froze' he tried to get my friend to send him money, first little bits like 800, then 2500....I saw her last weekend, he's been saying he'd be back for a month more blah blah....Red Flags Huge are blowing in the wind....
As pointed out if not getting a visa them let him wait and try to get one later, dont take the step of going to another country. Also in BP we fly our emotions and make decisions that just dont make sense later, espcially in the matter of the heart...Hugs...
