Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I have lost 80 lbs again, on Weight Watchers. I highly recommend the program. You can learn how to eat properly through it, because it can't just be a diet, it has to be a lifestyle change if it's going to remain permanent. (That's what I didn't do right the first time around.) I have 25 lbs to go to be at a healthy weight and I'm still doing Weight Watchers and very committed to it. I lose about 1 lb a week.
Also, drink lots and lots and LOTS of water!!! I do not lose as much on weeks I don't drink water until I'm absolutely floating, lol.
I recommend the "Diets and Weight Maintenance" group here on DS and also the "Obesity" group. Lots of good ideas and support both places. They have helped me a lot.
I watch the portions that I eat...you know, what health experts say.
4oz. of protein and 2 side veggies. If I want to snack I have a jello cup. I do "celebrate" once a week and have a Blizzard or some sort of milk shake.
It's hard and I get tired of it. I clean offices so I do get some exercise but I have a feeling that I need a lot more. I'm trying to learn to be happy w/myself as I am.
