I have put on weight since being on Lithium, Epilim and prozac. I f I were to reduce them would some come off? Or at least be abit easier to reduce?
Its not alot of weight but I hate seeing my tummy wobbling when I go past shop windows!.

My comment about Lithium

3 Months after I started Lithium, I had gained 80 Lbs

For a lot of people , BP meds means massive weight gain.
Not all people experience this weight gain, but many many people do .

I hear ya too well girl... As dd wrote so many of our meds trigger our appetite centre and it sux..
I wouldn't tweak your meds without medical supervision..x

Reducing doses of the likely culprits has never helped me in 12 years of dealing with it. I gained 125 lbs. I am losing now, on the usual doses of stuff, but I really have to watch what I eat and I have to exercise for an hour a day.

Ask your doc about the possibility of reaching a stage where the drugs can remain therapeutic without having to bear the downer of the weight gain.
My Lithium has been reduced incrementally over time and the weight has fallen off too.They have to be sure that it is worth doing though, as they will try and persuade you not to if they feel you need to endure the therapy a little more before opting for this.

avoid sugar & lift light weights (easy peasy)..as that helps your metabolism burn sugar optimally x

Thanks you for suggestions, def ask doc, punfun, glad to hear your weight has come down, dancingd and SuncloudJD and halterbroke-my sincerest sympathy-thank you for sharing with me nevernude I will try to avoid sugar harder-ive been watching fat more but sugar could be more important..
I do love Bipolar support!
