Has anyone heard of this or tried it? I got a sample from my doctor today and I am very skeptical about starting it. There is not much information about it online.

Good luck. I'm also wary/loathe to take meds that have just hit market..can be dodgy :(

uh-uh. Don't know. Have heard about it as one of those newer antipsychotics to treat schizophrenia and related, but nothing else.

never heard of it, and if there's not much info out there about it, I'd be cautious too.
What is it, a mood stabilizer? Anti-depressant?

I think Amalzahir has heard of this and was very excited about trying it. It's another anti-seizure med with low incidence of Akathesia (among other benefits). It's not like Saphris, which is an AP

Ok. Scratch all that. I was totally wrong (sorry). It is an AP. I truly thought it was something else. Damn idiots on the internets handing out false info. :-)

Yea I think I am going to call my doctor tomorrow and tell him there is not enough information about it and I am afraid of trying it. See if he will call in good ol seroquel for the time being.

Hi i am dx bipolar /mostly depressed. I have just been on another merry go round on meds. The doc has me on this new one . I am only at 1mg. Do you take yours at am or pm? So far my thoughts are clearing a little.

PS I always have to take the lowest doses on meds. I am super sensitive the them. I took 1 mg of stelazine for 18 yrs and was stable on it. I had to stop b/c I developed TD.I have mouth blowing ,facial tremor, and the usual dystonia's. I have to be very careful with meds and their eps profile.

It is a new anti-psychotic. It was okay for the psychosis type symptoms, but I got renal problems in that I swelled up like a balloon and my blood sugar went through the roof. I only took it for about a week and a half.
