hi everyone. its 6am here and i\'m supposed to be in the hospital. I went back in our house due to heavy rain. im a nurse trainee you see. i tried to go to work today but because of the heavy rain, on the middle of the road i decided to stop and go back home. My uniform got wet (my pants) the wet is above my shoes. The location of the hospital is quite far from where we live, at least 1 hour drive. The main reason why I decided not to go on duty is because the location of the hospital where im going is prone to flood. I mean heavy , above the knee flood, im worried because i might get stranded and have no vehicle to ride on to back home. So i decided not to go. So i texted my superior that im going to re schedule my duty. (it was the last duty, its actually a "make up" for one absence)..i told her i tried to go to the hosp however the rain messed up my uniform. She said:" okay. it\'s up to you." So here\'s whats bugging me. Before, when i was attending this training under this same superior, i overheard her and someone a nurse also, (i forgot what exactly what they\'re talking about) however this is the thought: according to the same superior, as a nurse, we should not let the weather get in the way. Like we should be determined enough to perform our job no matter what the weather is. I remember the reason for that one absence was i could not find a vehicle riding from our house to the hospital due to flood. No vehicles are riding. So there, when i told her about this, she said that " its okay because your not a staff , ( someone who is already hired, im just a trainee) . NOw im confused. I don\'t know if she\'s really okay with it or not. And this is really bugging me. i feel like im soo bad. That i did not go to work today.
I feel like she\'s not telling the truth. ( i dont know why i cared sooo much about what she\'ll think. maybe because she\'s the one who looked after me during my training days.and she was the one who\'s going to gve me a grade. I think that she has gven me a grade since its been a week since i submitted to her this paper where she will evaluate me..
The main thing that bugs me and makes me feel guilty is that what if she\'s thinking that i\'m lazy and undeserving???
Do i have the right to feel guilty???
Is my thinking rational???
Do you experience this kind of thing also?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Speaking of guilt in general I find I feel guilty a lot about either unimportant things or things I have no control over. It gets annoying.
Try to learn how to let the guilty feeling go sometimes a 'no l can't' is valid regardless of how others feel managers, friends or family don't let them guilt you into feeling bad besides its a managers job to try to catch out those who are lazy so everyone gets the same treatment no need to take it personally, perhaps she has to see how great a worker you are over time to be less judgemental of you.
Let it go hun x
