I was suppose to have a pdoc appointment and get an appointment for tdoc. I find out that my current doctor does not take my new insurance. I had to be put on my husbands insurance Aetna. I can't afford the out of network costs and I'm feeling really overwhelmed right now. I started crying on the phone with the receptionist. I've been doing that lately, crying at the drop of a hat. I had to go to unemployment office the other day and the lady told me my severance wasn;t up and it was too soon to apply.. I didn;t feel embarrassed or anything I just felt like crying. I'm afraid if I get another doctor they will try me on a whole new set of meds and I will have to go through all this work over again. Why can't things be cut and dry for us. I'm sick of this ride. I really feel like I'm falling apart. I'm out of abilify and won't have the money for more until next Friday. HELP!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
Okay, so the main thing to remember is to..BREATHE. I, too have many days just like you are having, you literally just cannot take any more grief or chaos that bursting in to tears is all the strength you have left.
I would try also to stay focused; we need an action plan to keep us on course from time to time - this may or may not be useful to you.
I can't give you actual advice as a.I'm fairly new to all of this and b. I don't live anywhere near you so I don't know the laws/rules/regulations.
When I'm going through a stressful ordeal, I just rehearse my grandmother's motto; you're worse before you're better.
Could emerg give you abilify?? or would you want to go.. do you have a GP.. sometimes they have drug samples and can help.. I would also ask your pharmacy if they can give you a few doses to help you through until you can by more.. sometime the pharmacy will front you a little... big hug of support for you and a blessing
Maybe your current pdoc could give you samples to tide you over or your GP. I hate that you have to switch pdocs b/c of insurance. But as someone already said a new pdoc won't switch you unless you aren't doing well on what you are currently taking. Best to you and big hugs. xo
I think SunCloud has good suggestions - check with your pharmacist as soon as possible, to see if he/she can give you a week's worth of Abilify until you have money.
Do you have a current prescription until you can get in with a new pdoc? Otherwise, the idea she had of checking with your general doc is a Good idea - they "may" can give you at least a Limited prescription, I don't know...
I understand about the Aetna and pdocs, and that Sucks, but it's more than just where you are. I hope you have some leads on another doc, but I also know it's going to be hard.
