Have had quite the day at the vets and not sure LJ is out of the woods yet. She had the runs this morning and then started vomiting. Took her to the vets (thanks Soss for picking up the initial exam fee - your niece pup thanks ya too) and its either parvo or worms. If its worms - I just gave her the medicine we should know by morning and the meds and some gatorade should take care of it . If its parvo we may not be so lucky but on the plus side he is 90% sure its not parvo so we can hope
I am still on the upside of manic, kind of. I am beginning to get aggravated and kind of anxious. I have, like $11 in my checking account and $56 cash to last me until the 1st. Boy did I screw up at Wal Mart.......I think sometimes I need to put someone else in charge of my money so that it will last as long as it needs to.
That LJ is sick. I hope she has worms. I am praying it is something simple.
My Rose, is a rescue dog. I got her from an abusive and neglecting family. We had a parvo scare with her when we first got her. She was doing the same thing as LJ, but really bad.
I couldn't find out if she had her puppy shots or not (she was six months old when I got her). After all the blood work and X-rays and a night in the hospital, turns out she has a "nervous stomach".
It's true, even now, six years later. She still exhibits signs of "nervous stomach". Anything upsets her, she pukes. I saw her puke of a whole shrimp one time.
Kiss LJ for me. I'm still praying for worms, so try not to panic. I'm praying for you, too. Whether you "let" me or not.
Love, MK
I lost an adorable miniature dachshund to parvo only a few weeks after we brought her home...was horrible. They sneak into your hearts so quickly.
Had to disinfect the entire house pretty much before bringing another pup home.
So LJ does not have parvo....I decided :-)
Seems they usually die of the symptom of dehydration. The vet can give them daily subcutaneous injections of saline, but that can get expensive.
Hope it all works out for you and her, W.
Lj Stands for Lucifer Junior hee hee name is compliments of her God Mother/Aunt
Good morning all. How is everyone doing? Still doing pretty good here. Although the fibro is rearing it's ugly head this morning.
